Arrive in Palermo and transfer to your hotel, with the rest of the day free to explore this vibrant city.
Guided tour of Palermo with a local guide, then visit the UNESCO-listed Monreale Cathedral and its golden mosaics (admission included). Free afternoon in Palermo.
Follow the Tyrrhenian coast to the mountain town of Castelbuono, then explore the seaside lanes of Cefalù. Visit the sanctuary of Tindari and overnight in the port of Milazzo.
Take a hydrofoil to the volcanic Aeolian Islands: Vulcano with its smoking crater and fumaroles, then Lipari, the largest island with the archipelago's prettiest town. Return to Sicily for the night in Taormina, with dinner included.
A free day in Taormina, perched beneath Mount Etna with its Greek theatre overlooking the sea. Dinner included.
Drive along the coast to Catania, then inland to Caltagirone for a tourist train ride. After lunch, visit the Roman mosaics of Villa Romana del Casale (tickets and tour included). See the Valley of the Temples from the coach on arrival in Agrigento. Dinner included.
Explore the Valley of the Temples with a local guide, the finest group of Greek temples outside Greece. Lunch in Marsala, then visit the hilltop town of Erice with its sea views. Continue to Palermo, with dinner included.
