Arrive in Lisbon and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to settle in and explore.
Guided tour of Lisbon, the city of seven hills, with its tiled façades and Atlantic light.
Head south to the Algarve, visiting the historic harbour town of Lagos and Cape St Vincent, the south-western tip of Europe. Free time in the resort town of Albufeira.
Visit Faro, the Algarve's relaxed capital, then Mértola, a clifftop museum town in the Alentejo. Stroll through Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage city, with entry to the Chapel of Bones included.
Visit the hilltop walled village of Marvão and the castle and old Jewish quarter of Castelo de Vide. In Tomar, visit the Templar Convent of Christ, then continue to Fátima for a visit to the sanctuary or the candlelight procession when it takes place. Dinner included.
Travel to northern Portugal and enjoy a traditional boat trip along Porto's riverside, followed by free time in the medieval Ribeira quarter.
Visit Braga, Portugal's religious capital, and ride the funicular to the Bom Jesus sanctuary. Explore Guimarães, the birthplace of Portugal, then drive through the vineyards to the Douro Valley for a river cruise. Dinner in Coimbra.
Explore the university city of Coimbra, then visit Batalha Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (admission included). Take the lift up to the clifftop views at Nazaré and stroll through walled Óbidos before arriving in Lisbon.
