Day-wise Itinerary

Meet and greet at Muscat International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Muscat.
Half-day tour of the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Muttrah Souq and Corniche, with photo stops at Al Alam Palace and the Royal Opera House. Overnight in Muscat.
Fly north to Khasab, the gateway to Musandam. Visit Khasab Fort, now a museum of local life, and watch the sunset over the bay. Overnight in Khasab.
Board a traditional dhow into Khor Ash Sham, the largest fjord, passing fishing villages reachable only by sea. Look out for dolphins, swim and snorkel near Telegraph Island, and enjoy lunch on board. Overnight in Khasab.
A half-day 4x4 drive up Jebel Harim, the highest peak in Musandam, for views over Khor Najd and ancient rock carvings. Afternoon free. Overnight in Khasab.
Fly back to Muscat and connect to your flight home.
Dress code: At mosques, women must cover arms and legs and wear a headscarf; men should wear trousers and a shirt. When swimming in wadis, modest swimwear is advised out of respect for local culture.

Good to know: Musandam can also be reached by road from Dubai (UAE visa needed) — ask us to combine it with a UAE holiday.
