Welcome to Oman! Our representative meets you in the arrivals hall at Muscat International Airport and drives you to your hotel. Check in and relax. Overnight in Muscat.

After breakfast, a half-day guided tour of the capital: the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the Muttrah fish and vegetable market, Muttrah Souq and the Corniche, and the Bait Al Zubair Museum, with photo stops at Al Alam Palace and the Royal Opera House. Overnight in Muscat.

Early pick-up from your hotel (around 7:15 am) for a two-hour cruise from about 8 to 10 am along Muscat's coastline, home to spinner, common, bottlenose and Indo-Pacific dolphins year-round. Soft drinks on board. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Muscat.

Head into Oman's historic heartland. Explore Nizwa Fort and its busy souq, continue to Bahla, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient walls and pottery, and finish at Jabreen Castle with its beautiful painted ceilings. Return to Muscat. Overnight in Muscat.

Drive down the coast via Quriyat to Wadi Shab, one of Oman's most beautiful wadis. Hike up the gorge past emerald pools and, for the adventurous, swim through the famous keyhole into a hidden cave. Relax at the white sands of Fins Beach, then stop at the Bimmah Sinkhole (Hawiyat Najm Park), a striking natural pool of turquoise water. Return to Muscat with a photo stop overlooking Quriyat. Overnight in Muscat.

Board your 4x4 and drive through the Sumail Gap that divides the Western and Eastern Hajar mountains, stopping to photograph the abandoned village of Fanjah and the ruins of the old trading town of Al Mansfah near Ibra. Continue to the desert edge of the Wahiba Sands and on to Wadi Bani Khalid, where clear green pools sit among endless date palms. Return to Muscat. Overnight in Muscat.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Muscat International Airport for your flight home.

Dress code: At the Grand Mosque, women must cover arms and legs and wear a headscarf; men should wear trousers and a shirt. When swimming in the wadis, women are advised to wear clothing that covers to the knees, out of respect for local culture.
