Welcome to Cuba! Transfer to your hotel. In the late afternoon, ride in a classic American car to the San Carlos Fortress for the traditional cannon-firing ceremony.
Guided tour of Havana including a short boat crossing of the bay to Regla. Continue to the Callejón del Chorro area for a stroll and lunch. Free afternoon.
Head south through lush tropical countryside to the crocodile farm at Guamá, with a boat ride through the national park and a visit to the Taíno village. Swim in the clear Caribbean waters at Punta Perdiz (lunch included), visit the Playa Girón Museum and continue to Cienfuegos, the "Pearl of the South". Dinner included.
Discover Trinidad, Cuba's best-preserved colonial town, and visit the Yemayá temple, where a local santero introduces the Santería faith. Lunch included, then check in at the beach resort of Playa Ancón. In the evening we return to the cathedral quarter, with dinner included.
Visit an old sugar mill in the Valley of the Sugar Mills and the Manaca Iznaga estate, then continue to the colonial town of Sancti Spíritus for lunch (included). Arrive in Camagüey, known for its lively evenings.
Explore Camagüey's theatres, plazas and winding lanes, then stop in Guáimaro and visit a chess school in Bayamo (lunch included). Arrive in Santiago de Cuba, with an evening visit to the famous Casa de la Trova music house.
Guided tour of Santiago de Cuba, including the Basilica of El Cobre, home of Cuba's patron saint, Santa Ifigenia Cemetery, the Bacardí rum factory and the UNESCO-listed Morro Castle. Lunch included; the afternoon is free.
Travel through tropical scenery to Holguín for a short walk, then to Guardalavaca to see the Chorro de Maíta archaeological park and Taíno village, and Bariay Bay. Lunch included, followed by a free afternoon on the beach and dinner at the resort.
Take a boat through the mangroves of Laguna de la Redonda, then cross the causeway to the island of Cayo Coco. Lunch and dinner included.
Enjoy a free morning on the beach. After lunch (included), visit the Camilo Cienfuegos mausoleum and museum in Yaguajay, then continue to Remedios, one of Cuba's prettiest colonial towns. Dinner included.
Ride a vintage steam train to the old Marcelo Salado sugar mill, then visit a cigar factory in Santa Clara (lunch included). Stop at the Che Guevara Memorial before arriving in Havana.
