Day-wise Itinerary

Arrive at Paro Airport (PBH) and complete visa / permit formalities. You are received by our Bhutan representative and driven to Thimphu (about 65 km, 1.5 to 2 hours). Time permitting, stop at Tamchog Lhakhang (Iron Bridge) and Chuzom, the meeting point of the Wong Chu and Pa Chu rivers. Check in and overnight in Thimphu.
Visit Sangaygang View Point (BBS Tower), Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang), the Institute for Zorig Chusum (traditional arts and crafts school), Textiles Museum, handicraft shops, Zangthopelri Lhakhang and the Motithang Takin Preservation Centre. Some sites are closed on weekends, national holidays or specific days. Overnight in Thimphu.
After breakfast, drive over the scenic Dochu La Pass (3,080 m) to Punakha / Wangdi (about 70 km, 3 to 3.5 hours). Afternoon and evening at leisure. Overnight in Punakha / Wangdi.
Visit Punakha Dzong, the Suspension Bridge and Chimi Lhakhang. Optional white-water rafting on the Punakha River, payable directly (carry a spare change of clothes). Alternatively, take a full-day excursion to Gangtey and Phobjikha Valley, with the Black Necked Crane Information Centre and Gangtey Goempa. Overnight in Punakha / Wangdi.
Drive to Paro (about 148 km, 4 to 5 hours), stopping at Dochula Pass and the Royal Botanical Garden at Lamperi. Check in and overnight in Paro.
Visit Dungtse Lhakhang, the Bird's Eye View Point over Paro Valley, Ta Dzong (National Museum), Rinpung Dzong and Kichu Lhakhang. Alternatively, take the early-morning hike to Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger's Nest), about 2.5 to 3 hours uphill each way depending on fitness, or walk up to the cafeteria viewpoint. Overnight in Paro.
Day excursion to Chele La Pass (3,988 m, about 40 km from Paro), then return to Paro. Overnight in Paro.
After breakfast, transfer to Paro Airport (PBH) for your onward connection.
