Day1

Arrive at Jeddah airport and transfer to your hotel in Makkah. After rest, perform Umrah with your mutawwif. Overnight in Makkah.

Day2

Prayers at Masjid al-Haram, then a ziyarat tour of Jabal al-Nour, Jabal Thawr, Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat. Overnight in Makkah.

Day3

A free day for prayers and ibadah at the Haram. In the evening, a briefing on the Ala Khutah journey. Overnight in Makkah.

Day4

Begin the Hijrah trail at Ghar Thawr, the cave where the Prophet ﷺ and Abu Bakr (RA) sheltered before setting out for Madinah. Travel north along the route with guided stops and storytelling. Overnight at an Ala Khutah station.

Day5

Continue along the historic route through Asfal Usfan, with the trail's interactive experiences, such as 'The Wonders of the Camel' and a demonstration of travel conditions in the desert. Overnight at an Ala Khutah station.

Day6

Visit Khaymata Umm Ma'bad, the tent where the travellers were offered milk, with sensory storytelling, and the site of the Suraqah incident. Overnight at an Ala Khutah station.

Day7

The final stretch into Madinah ends at Quba Mosque, the first mosque built by the Prophet ﷺ on his arrival. Check in to your Madinah hotel and pray at Masjid an-Nabawi. Overnight in Madinah.

Ziyarat of Masjid an-Nabawi, Mount Uhud and the martyrs of Uhud, and Masjid al-Qiblatayn. Overnight in Madinah.

A free day for prayers at Masjid an-Nabawi and shopping. Overnight in Madinah.

Transfer to Madinah airport for your flight home.

About Ala Khutah: Launched in February 2026, Ala Khutah ('In His Footsteps') retraces the Hijrah over about 470 km, with 41 historic sites and overnight stations along the way. Stops, experiences and timings are set by the trail's organiser and may change. The trail can also be booked on its own, without Umrah — ask our team.
